Celebrating a Jog-a-Thon Participation Record!
This year we achieved the highest level of community participation in Jog-a-thon history — 99%! This is a wonderful demonstration of the community’s commitment to children. All money raised by the Jog-a-thon goes toward paying for field trips that support our curriculum and provide students with rich learning experiences and treasured memories — from swimming with Garibaldi fish off Catalina Island, to exploring a Spanish mission in Santa Barbara, to learning about conservation at TreePeople in Coldwater Canyon. That means all the dimes and dollars, the organizing and preparing, and the cheering, running and handing out cups of water add up to pulling together as a community and helping children learn about the world by actively engaging with it. We appreciate everyone’s participation in these efforts, including parents, staff, faculty and extended family members. You have all demonstrated a triumphant community spirit!
