We know that enrolling in a tuition-based school is a significant financial commitment and represents a major investment in your child’s future. We encourage all families to consider UCLA Lab School regardless of your financial situation. In fact, one in three families at our school receives need-based tuition support. We encourage you to apply.
Applying for Tuition Support
The UCLA Lab School Tuition Support program is designed to make a Lab School education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. Lab School is proud to use the Clarity Financial Aid platform to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts. The application is mobile-friendly and fully translated into Spanish.
The Tuition Support/Financial Aid Committee reviews all applications confidentially and allocates funding to eligible families. While we encourage applications from both new and returning families who feel the full cost of tuition may be prohibitive, please note that not all applicants will qualify for support.
UCLA Lab School determines tuition on an annual basis. To make decisions in a fair and equitable manner, Lab School requires that prospective and returning families complete an application for tuition support/financial aid annually.
Tuition Support Application Deadlines
Current/Returning Lab School Students: December 19, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. PST
Prospective/Applicant Students: January 9, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PST
Begin your application and add UCLA Lab School to your student applicant entry. You can save your application and log out at any time and return later to complete it.
US taxpayers: Complete the Clarity Enhanced Tax Verification (ETV) process to release their W2 and personal tax return transcripts from the IRS. You'll be asked to authorize the sharing of your tax transcripts and verify your identity. Clarity offers two options for enhanced tax verification process: “Clarity” and “IRS”. Please reference the Tax Verification Guide to preview the steps of this process.
(Please note: The IRS pathway is significantly faster, allowing for the tax documents to transfer to Clarity within 24 hours.Clarity has found that families who have an IRS.gov account before starting the Clarity Application have a much easier time completing the process.)
Submit your Clarity application and follow the link to return to your dashboard. Here you will see any additional supporting documents requested by schools. Upload your supporting documents by (deadline). Keep in mind that at a later date, you may be prompted by the school via Clarity to upload additional documentation as needed.
(Note: International families will be prompted to upload income verification in the forms of a paystub or employment letter stating salary, and a copy of a tax documents from their country, as applicable. Please provide these with English translation.)
