Digital Design Studio

Developed and led by Demonstration Teacher Dr. Adrian Gumpert, the Studio is a collaborative, hybrid physical-digital learning environment where students and educators explore how people can learn, create and solve problems together. Physical space, shared interactive surfaces, digital tools, physical materials and collaborative activity work together as an integrated learning environment.

Across grade levels and disciplines, students investigate questions, develop ideas, design, build, discuss, test and revise. Experiences may incorporate collaborative digital workspaces, 3D design and fabrication, robotics, physical making, media and emerging technologies. Technology is not the destination; it expands what students can represent, create and experience together while developing critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration and collective problem solving.

The Studio also provides a place for teachers to design and study learning experiences, refine practice, and demonstrate emerging approaches to educators, researchers and institutional partners.
