Students will be able to:

  • described characteristics of a rainforest
  • participate in large and small group discussions
  • identify conditions needed for plants and animals to survive
  • recognize human activities that affect the environment
  • grow in self-esteem

If you are interested in jungles, plants, and exotic animals then you will want to join our class to explore tropical rainforests. You will have an opportunity to experience visual arts projects, music, literature, and science projects as you learn about a very special part of the world. A variety of visual arts media, such as collage and acrylic paints, will be used to create exciting rainforest art. Creative songs, literature books, and science will come alive as you study spiders, snakes, bats and butterflies, This summer, become an artist writer and scientist with us!
